Jolene Allen

 

Jolene has over 17 years experience in the travel industry, with the past nine years being spent as a corporate meetings and events planner. Jolene does it all – from site selection, contract negotiation and budget management, to meal and function planning, ground transportation, website registration and managing on-site logistics – just to name a few! She has planned programs ranging in size from 10 to 4,500 people, and her expertise lies in managing/planning multi-city, multi-track road shows. Her negotiation skills consistently achieve significant cost savings for her clients; her talent at relationship-building keeps her clients returning for repeat events. Jolene’s organizational, communication, creativity and customer service skills allow her to effectively manage multiple programs while ensuring each event is executed flawlessly.

Prior to joining KCA, Jolene worked for American Express planning corporate meetings and events for Intel Corporation. Before joining the meetings team, she was a reservations Team Leader and international reservations agent. Her travel industry career started with AAA, booking leisure trips for her many dedicated clients; she soon became AAA’s travel department trainer. Jolene also has a background in retail sales and management.

Jolene received her education from Hamilton Business College in Des Moines, Iowa, and is currently on track to achieve her CMP certification by 2011.
